I don’t know how long Hugh Jackman can play Wolverine.  It’s not because he’s bad at it.  He’s defined the role on screen.  It’s because Wolverine ages more slowly because of his healing factor.  What’s truly surprising is that Jackman in his Wolverine hair and makeup doesn’t look too different than what he looked like back in 2000 with X-Men.  But now he’s going to have to go back to the 1970s for Bryan Singer‘s X-Men: Days of Future Past.  There’s a time-traveling aspect to the film, but we don’t know if Wolvie has traveled back in time or if this is the Wolverine who told Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) to fuck off in X-Men: First Class.  Either way, new set photos reveal that Wolverine is game for the era’s atrocious fashion.

Hit the jump to check out the set photos.  The film also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart Peter Dinklage, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Omar SyDaniel Cudmore, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, and Halle BerryX-Men: Days of Future Past opens July 18, 2014.

I have a theory that Professor X appearing with the ability to walk at the end of X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE will have something to do with time travel. I really think that this film is going to be used to explain the continuity flubs between all the X-Men films and create a more cohesive universe for Fox to play with its super heroes in.

Does this guy know what he’s talking about? lol I’m pretty SURE we were told his consciousness is sent back into his younger self (I assume by kitty pride AND cerebro combo?)… And to be honest, this is the movies NOT comic books so they csn always come up with some kinda idea to alter his age ability…maybe he can suffer a traumatic event that gives him grey sideburns and ‘ages’ him prematurely – then the older Hugh gets he can still play wolvie…and also they use that digital effects to make Patrick Stewart and Ian looks younger I’m sure they can make it work for him if they have to. Posturing about “if hugh can play him still’ is really pointless… I for one don’t even care if he gets older… Id much rather see old(er) Michael Keaton play Batman instead of ANYONE – yes ANYONE else… He IS the dark Batman. Like adam west IS the lighter Batman (as Batman was modeled after him always after the show) (yes except the comics – they don’t count, were talking movies/cartoons, etc) EVERYONE since Keaton has bit his creation of Batman, The voice is HIS, the moodiness is HIS…everything we expect of Batman in the last 20 years comes from Keaton. Bring him back, just cuz these guys are OLDER doesn’t mean they’re worthless… Bale was SHIT as Batman compared to Keaton. Seriously.
