Thanks to X-Men: Days of Future Past we know that President John F. Kennedy was a mutant.  Magneto (Michael Fassbender) tried to save him, but he was apprehended before he could stop Lee Harvey Oswald’s bullet.  When Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Professor X (James McAvoy), Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Quicksilver (Evan Peters) broke him out of a Pentagon prison, Magneto insisted that he tried to save JFK because he was “one of us.”

What if Robert F. Kennedy was a mutant as well?  According to the X-Men viral campaign, “Kennedy Curse,” he was and he was assassinated because of it.  Hit the jump to see more from RFK’s "Mutants Are Among Us" file.  X-Men: Days of Future Past is currently available digitally and will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray on October 14th.

RFK had the ability to absorb memories from those around him making it a challenge to be amongst crowds.  In order to safeguard his power and ensure RFK’s stability, the US Government and Tandem/Trask did what they could to help him keep it under control.  Check out the tactics they used below:

White House Bunker Blueprints

"Just decrypted this blueprint of the White House from JFK’s term—it looks like he signed off on the construction of a secret safe room under the White House while Jackie O was renovating.  It’s all connected to Bobby somehow."

Magneto’s Helmet Involved?

"A correspondence between Robert F. Kennedy and an unknown corroborator about coming up with a solution to manage RFK’s abilities ... It looks like RFK had psionic powers where he could absorb other people’s memories.  They thought the helmet could help."

Biographer’s Galley Excerpt

"An unpublished book proof from RFK’s official biographer where Bobby admits that he is able to feel other people’s emotions and absorb their memories.  The author suggests his potential as a president was unparalleled."
