X-Men: Days of Future Past – The Rogue Cut comes out next month, and will feature an entirely new subplot, which has Rogue (Anna Paquin) going on a mission with Magneto (Ian McKellen) and Professor X (Patrick Stewart) during the post-apocalypse. 20th Century Fox has released the first image from the film, and it’s interesting to think back all the way to the first movie when Magneto kidnapped and tried to sacrifice Rogue for his plan to mutate humanity. It’s funny how the end of the world brings people together.

As we reported a couple days ago, The Rogue Cut will play at Comic-Con, and attendees will have an opportunity to see it on July 11th at 8pm if they buy a copy of the X-Men: Days of Future Past – The Rogue Cut Blu-ray from either the 20th Century Fox booth (Booth #4229) on the floor or at the Nerd HQ/IGN Lounge at the Children’s Museum. There will be four separate screenings, so I suppose a few hundred fans (depending on the size of the theaters) will have a chance to see the movie they just bought on the big screen. They’ll also get “a limited edition lithograph, celebrating 15 years of the X-Men franchise.”
