On the heels of a new domestic trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class, Fox has also released an international version that sets a slightly different tone, and has some new footage including a first look at Oliver Platt and Ray Wise. Again, there’s not of elaboration on the role the Hellfire Club will play, but the point of both trailers is clear: mutants prevented World War III. Thanks, mutants! Hit the jump to watch.
X-Men: First Class stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, January Jones, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Kevin Bacon. The film opens June 3rd. Thanks to our partners at Omelete for the trailer. And make sure to watch the other new trailer that was released today as it features more footage.

Here’s the official synopsis for X-Men: First Class:
X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

Wow, that was considerably more substantial when it comes to actually explaining the film.
Oh great!
They have shown the whole damn movie in 2 and a half minutes!
Effing Einsteins!!!
They should have included Harry Leland, Donald Pierce, Tessa and Selene instead of several randomly chosen mutants whose names that they picked out of a hat.
Now I can’t wait til 1st june (Yes France First ^_^ ) !!!
love it.
That was frigging awesome!! Oh my how am I supposed to wait now after seeing that!!! I guess I’ll be camping outside on opening day.
I am hopeful again…
that looks way good
Glas to see they took out the scenes from the first trilogy, since this blows it’s continuity sky high. Although the whole movie still pretends to be a prequel of the first ones
