Fox has released a new trailer for Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class.  There's a lot of good new footage and snippets of dialogue in this trailer. I'm still not sure how The Hellfire Club factors into the story, but I liked a lot of what the trailer has to show. We get a better look at the relationship between Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and there's a much darker tone to the relationship between Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) as opposed to previous trailers which seemed to position Magneto more as a tragic figure. Fingers crossed that all these storylines and characters come together in a quality film.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer.  X-Men: First Class stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, January Jones, Rose Byrne, Oliver Platt, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Kevin Bacon.  The film opens June 3rd.

Here's the official synopsis for X-Men: First Class:

X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
