ZACK & MIRI MAKE A PORNO is Having Trouble with the MPAA

Seth Rogen recently told MTV that he and director Kevin Smith are having a little trouble getting their highly anticipated comedy “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” past the MPAA Ratings board. The censors have already pulled an unapproved red band trailer for the film, which according to Rogen is “a really filthy movie.” Just in case that title wasn’t a clue for you.

“The MPAA is gunning for us, I think… I hear they are having trouble getting an R rating from an NC-17 rating, which is never good,” Rogen was quoted as saying. As for the MPAA itself, the comedian calls the ratings board “dicks.” The man does have a point.

“A guy fucking a donkey, they ain’t got no problem with, but a man and a woman having sex they seem to have real issues with, for some weird reason. It’s insane. It’s completely insane.”

I’m not too worried about “Zack and Miri” losing content – Kevin Smith is always super generous with the bonus DVD footage. And besides, he did get that donkey scene in “Clerks 2″ past the censor – who’s to say a little porn won’t warrant an R rating in the end? Oh dear! – Maybe it’s the ‘in the end’ part that the censors are worried about. Don’t worry MPAA; I’m sure if you bend over Kevin Smith will promise just to use his index finger at first.
