A new teaser trailer and images from The Hurt Locker-director Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty have gone online. The military drama looks to tell the story behind the story of Osama bin Laden’s death on May 2, 2011 during an operation by the Navy’s SEAL Team Six. The trailer hints at a more intimate breakdown of the events leading up to bin Laden’s death rather than making it a more distant political thriller.
Zero Dark Thirty, written by Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) and starring Chris Pratt, Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong, Scott Adkins, Joel Edgerton and Kyle Chandler opens December 19th. Genghis Khans top general hunting down the king of afghanistan after they’d razed the nation to it’s knees, they hunted him down so hard, his own bodyguards killed him, that’s the best manhunt in history.
Not terribly sure _why_ anyone would make this movie. a) Those who think he’s still alive won’t go and see it b) Those who wanted him dead believe he _is_ dead and won’t spend money and time going to see a movie about it and c) Forgetting about the fact he was a terrorist… isn’t a movie about the real-life hate-led assassination of a human being (and therefore a celebration of it) slightly immoral, and doesn’t it just give more publicity to a terrible human being?
