It may have taken a decade, but Emma Stone, Jesse EisenbergWoody Harrelson, and Abigail Breslin are finally back together for a Zombieland sequel and thanks to the ten-year challenge, we've got a first look at the team reunited once again. The original cast of Ruben Fleischer's charming 2009 zombie comedy are back at it in Zombieland: Double Tap -- yep, that's the full title as revealed in the new poster.

Ruben Fleischer is once again directing from a script by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, with all parties involved coming off a lot of success in the superhero genre. Wernick and Reese have been killing it with the Deadpool films, while Fleischer just delivered the biggest hit of his career with Venom. According to early reports, the sequel will once again put the quartet on a chaotic journey through America, where they face off again evolved zombies, run into some new human survivors, and face their growing pains as a makeshift family.

As for those new characters, Zombieland: Double Tap already recruited Set It Up star Zoey Deutch as a mystery character, and earlier today Deadline revealed that Daredevil and Luke Cage star Rosario Dawson has also joined the cast. Both actresses have signed on for mystery roles, so we don't know how big of a part they have to play, but they're both perfect fits for the snarky-but-charming dynamic audiences responded to in the first film.

When Zombieland dropped in 2009, zombie horror was in a peak of popularity, coming off a surge of standout creative genre films that also included Danny Boyle's (28 Days Later), Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead, and Edgar Wright's Shaun of the Dead. In the years since, the genre has waned and shifted, all but owned by The Walking Dead for a significant chunk of years. There's no cinematic surge of zombie films preceding the sequel (unless you count the wave of indie dramas set in the zombie apocalypse a la The Girl with All The GiftsCargo, and The Cured), so I'm very curious to see what kind of commentary and self-aware comedy Wernick and Rheese bring to the script. After all, what are the new rules when the double tap isn't just known, it's the name of your new movie.

We'll find out when Zombieland: Double Tap arrives in theaters on October 11.
