After news that Amazon Studios and Sony TV would be producing the pilot for the Zombieland series, some casting and plot information became available.  Now, it looks like two of the four leads have been filled.  Tyler Ross (Milkshake) will play Columbus (portrayed in the 2009 film by Jesse Eisenberg) while up-and-comer Izabela Vidovic (Help for the Holidays) will star as Little Rock (played by Abigail Breslin in the feature).  Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick wrote the feature script as well as that of the pilot, which continues the post-apocalyptic adventures of the foursome that also includes Tallahassee and Wichita.

Deadline reported on Ross and Vidovic joining the pilot for Amazon's Zombieland series.  We'll update on the production of this series as more information becomes available.  As for another horror-slanted show, THR reports that Frances Conroy and Taissa Farmiga will return for season three of American Horror Story.  Conroy starred as the Angel of Death in the most recent season, but Farmiga has only appeared in season one.  They join Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange and Evan Peters as returning cast members.  Here's what co-creator Ryan Murphy had to say about the upcoming season:

"What season three is about is more historical in nature. I'm also interested in getting into a horror romance. That's certainly something that's going to be in the water for season three. You're going to see a very different tone in season three, but that's the joy of the show. I think as a person right now I do feel lighter and wanting to embrace something a little bit more fun."

We know that the third season will have a famous and historical woman at the center of the story, but we should find out more once the cast and creative team take the stage at Paleyfest 2013.
