Aside from their comedic cast of characters and uplifting — and sometimes serious — storylines, Disney Channel's biggest shows and movies have always been memorable for their iconic supercouples: from the lovey-dovey, animated Candace and Jeremy to the legendary Troy and Gabriella that sparked a real-life relationship.

Mostly made up of teen romance, some Disney Channel couples were a little extra magical. Whether they were enemies-to-lovers, best friends-turned-partners, or soulmates from the start, Disney raised the supercouple game and the expectations of every millennial watching with some of their epic love stories.

Chad And Taylor (High School Musical)

One of the most unexpected couples in the High School Musical franchise was between a lunkhead basketball man and an Einsteinette.

Taylor McKessie throws insults Chad Danforth's way throughout the entire first HSM movie, and Chad isn't quiet about his commitment to sports and lack of smarts. But it all proved to be crushworthy teasing when the school celebrates the victories of the Wildcats and the Scholastic Decathlon and Chad pulls Taylor into his arms and asks her to the after party, leaving the two happily dating well into the sequel films.

Candace And Jeremy (Phineas And Ferb)

When she wasn't catching her little brothers Phineas and Ferb in the midst of their big ideas, Candace Flynn was swooning over her crush Jeremy Johnson.

Jeremy's signature, "Hey, Candace" is always met with a lovestruck, "Hi, Jeremy," and their crushes never seemed to be hidden from anyone but each other. The couple started dating early in the series, and are promised to be each other's happily ever afters by the show's creator.

Joe And Stella (JONAS)

While Macy never hid her crushes on her rockstar classmates, Stella kept her crush on Joe hush-hush, and Joe did the same thing.

Their inevitable love story was drawn out during the entire series — albeit only two seasons — and finally came to a head in the series finally in an "I got off the plane" moment when Joe stops Stella from boarding a plane out of L.A. The best friends since they were 8 years old share their first kiss and admit their true feelings for each other.

Sonny And Chad (Sonny With A Chance)

Co-stars Sonny Munroe and Chad Dylan Cooper experience a Grease-like relationship when Sonny crushes on Chad, despite his rude behavior toward the cast of her show So Random!

The couple nicknamed "Channy" fall in love during the majority of the first two seasons of Sonny With A Chance, until a cliffhanger breakup in the second-season finale. But due to Sonny performer Demi Lovato's departure from the series, Sonnny and Chad's happily ever after is forever left in uncertainty.

Although Miley is unimpressed by Jake's celebrity at first, that's exactly what draws Jake to her, and attempts at making the other jealous finally pul them into their first kiss. While their road was bumpy, Miley confided in Jake a secret only those she loved knew at the start: that she's actually Hannah Montana.

While the Suite Life shows didn't have very many epic romances — only the cutesy relationships between Carey and Arwin and London and Lance — Suite Life on Deck gave viewers a relationship at sea between Cody and Bailey.

The two are drawn to each other for their smarts, and after an entire season of Cody's failed attempt at winning Bailey over, the two finally become a couple in the Season One finale. Best-friends-turned-lovers Lizzie and Gordo kept their crushes hidden throughout the entire Lizzie McGuire series until the series finale when Lizzie gives Gordo a kiss on the cheek, gearing viewers up for The Lizzie McGuire Movie when Gordo and Lizzie officially share their first kiss.

While the Lizzie McGuire reboot never saw the light of day on Disney+ and it was confirmed that Lizzie's and Gordo's portrayers were both set to reprise their Disney Channel roles, it's unknown whether the couple's relationship would have lasted 20 years after the original show.

Austin And Ally (Austin And Ally)

Austin and Ally were seemingly the Jim and Pam of Disney Channel, the music partners' blossoming feelings inevitably leading to their first kiss in Season Two.

While their romance was drawn out throughout the series, sometimes overtaken by other comedic antics, the series finale jumps to the future and reveals that the two split. They rediscover their love for each other during a duet in the same episode, which jumps time again to show the viewers their happily ever after with their marriage and children.

The couple finally shares their first on-screen kiss in High School Musical 2, the character's love story leading to a real-life relationship between their portrayers Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.
