When they weren't uploading daily vlogs and accruing millions of subscribers on their Youtube channels, some internet personalities made their way to bigger enterprises with series on television and streaming platforms. Since the rise of the Youtuber in the early 2010s, some of Youtube's famous faces took on a different kind of presence behind the camera, ranging from cooky comedies, to fascinating food adventures, to becoming popular late-night talk show hosts.

Lilly Singh, known on the internet as IISuperwomanII, gained over 14 million subscribers since her Youtube debut in 2010 for her comedy sketches depicting her Indian heritage.

In 2019, less than a decade after her Youtube career began, Singh became the first Indian woman to host a late-night talk show when she starred in A Little Late With Lilly Singh, which ran for two seasons on NBC.

Joey Graceffa (Escape The Night)

With over 9 million subscribers, Youtuber Joey Graceffa took the idea of a Youtube collab to another level in 2016 with his hit murder mystery meets escape room reality show Escape The Night, starring himself and a different group of Youtubers every season.

Escape The Night is considered Youtube Premium's (then Youtube Red) longest-running series in history, earning four seasons totaling 40 episodes, four Streamy Award wins, and an accompanying board game.

Comedian Colleen Ballinger rose to internet stardom as her character Miranda Sings, who has close to 11 million subscribers, about 2 million more than her portrayer's personal channel.

In 2016, Ballinger took that character to the big screen with a Netflix comedy titled Haters Back Off after one of Miranda's hit songs. Ballinger starred alongside her future husband Erik Stocklin and The Office's Angela Kinsey for two seasons before the show's cancellation.

Anyone on the internet n the early 2000's remembers the hyper, high-pitched little boy who went by the name of Fred, whose Youtube videos launched an acting career for his portrayer Lucas Cruikshank.

The success of his Fred videos allowed Cruikshank to bring the character to Nickelodeon with Fred: The Show for a single season before starring as Marvin Forman for one season in the Nickelodeon comedy Marvin Marvin.

Viner-turned-Youtuber Liza Koshy blew up in the new Youtube era with 17 million subscribers following the shutdown of the video-hosting platform Vine.

Koshy's first main role came on the Hulu series Freakish, where Koshy played Violet Adams for two seasons. Her own Youtube Originals show followed immediately after, titled Liza On Demand, where Koshy played the title character, as well as held the roles of co-creator and executive producer.

The series starred puppets and costumes from Jim Henson's Creature Shop, mostly voiced by fellow Youtube personalities like Chris Kendall, Dan Howell, Phil Lester, Pewdiepie, Mamrie Hart and a slew of others who made cameos in the show.

Grace Helbig (The Grace Helbig Show)

Grace Helbig joined Youtube early on in 2007 where she went from house-sitting vlogs on her personal channel to daily uploads on her professional channel DailyGrace, which has since surpassed 2 million subscribers.

Helbig later scored her own comedy talk show on E! titled The Grace Helbig Show, which only survived eight episodes before its cancellation.

David Dobrik (Discovering David Dobrik)

David Dobrik went from Viner to Youtuber to television personality after the success of his Youtube channel which garnered over 18 million subscribers thanks to his videos featuring the Youtube ensemble The Vlog Squad and actors John Stamos and Josh Peck.

While Dobrik has wracked up a resume of guest cameos and hosting gigs, the Youtuber scored a starring role in the Discovery+ series Discovering David Dobrik which follows Dobrik and his friends on an adventure around the world.

Hannah Hart (I Hart Food)

Hannah Hart went from cooking food on Youtube to eating food on Food Network after her viral Youtube series My Drunk Kitchen shot her to fame in 2011.

After a guest judging stint on Food Network Star in 2016, Hart starred in her own show for Food Network, cleverly titled I Hart Food. While the series only lasted six episodes, Hart was not only the host, but the executive producer of the show.

Rosanna Pansino (Baketopia)

Rosanna Pansino's career began in 2011 when she launched her baking series titled Nerdy Nummies on Youtube, earning her 13 million subscribers, two cookbooks, a baking line, and most recently her own HBO Max show.

Joining a slew of other food-centric shows on HBO Max, Pansino hosts, judges and produces the reality show Baketopia, which follows bakers on their journey to completing baking challenges in the hopes of winning the show's $10,000 prize.
