While ABC Family may now be operating under a different name, it doesn’t mean the network’s long-standing traditions have dissipated. Indeed, in addition to those glorious Harry Potter Weekends, ABC Family Freeform is known for its holiday-centric movie marathons, and that includes 13 Nights of Halloween, the schedule for which has been revealed. For the back half of October, Freeform will play host to ghostly delights every night of the week, ranging from obvious picks like Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic to pleasantly surprising new additions like the underrated indie horror comedy The Final Girls.
The fun kicks off next Wednesday, October 19th with, appropriately enough, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the marathon itself includes a few other Tim Burton films like Frankenweenie, Corpse Bride, and the delightful Sleepy Hollow.
There’s also plenty of family friendly fare like the entire Halloweentown franchise, Scooby-Doo (penned by James Gunn—really!), Matilda, Monsters University, and the Pixar TV special Toy Story of TERROR!. If I had to make a personal recommendation for this bunch, I’d say don’t miss The Final Girls next Friday, October 21st, and I also highly recommend LAIKA’s love letter to classic horror movies ParaNorman.
Take a look at the full schedule below (all times ET/PT), and let us know what you’ll be tuning in for. Happy watching!
