Netflix has just released a new trailer for 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible, a documentary detailing the journey of Nirmal “Nimsdai” Purja in his pursuit to climb all 14 of the world's 8000-meter mountains in a record-breaking 7-month span.

Purja, a Nepalese mountaineer, will pursue his goal, which he has dubbed "Project Possible" with the help of a skilled team of sherpas. For his goal, he will climb such iconic peaks as K2 and Mount Everest. During all of this, Purja will be faced with extreme weather, life-or-death decisions, and the constant weight of his mother's illness all the way back home.

14 Peaks is written, directed, and produced by Torquil Jones, who has previously worked on the 2019 cricket documentary The Edge. Along with Purja himself, the film is produced by Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, who worked on the 2018 documentary, Free Solo, which won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2019. 14 Peaks follows in the footsteps of adrenaline junkie documentaries such as Chin and Vasarhelyi's super-popular Free Solo, which covered American rock-climber Alex Honnold's nail-biting journey to climb El Capitan without the aid of ropes, climbing, or safety equipment.
