HBO has released the first full trailer for their upcoming comedy short 7 Days in Hell, which stars Andy Samberg and Kit Harington as rival tennis champs embroiled in the longest, grandest, and most utterly absurd match in Wimbledon history. Samberg stars as Aaron Williams, malcontent and adopted brother of tennis royalty Serena and Venus Williams, and Harington as his opponent Charles Poole, a staggeringly dumb tennis prodigy.

Directed by Jake Szymanski (Saturday Night Live, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), the 45-minute short is a mockumentary retelling of the legendary Williams-Poole seven-day fiasco, featuring cameos from tennis pros John McEnroe and Serena Williams, as well as Lena Dunham, Will Forte, Michael Sheen, Mary Steenburgen, Karen Gillan, Fred Armisen, Howie Mandel, and June Squibb as the queen, because HBO knows about good casting.

I'm getting a real Blades of Glory vibe here, which is a very good thing in my book. Samberg is rocking a very Chazz Michael Michaels attitude, and Harington is putting that gormless look to good use as the dim-witted pretty boy prodigy. While some of the gags fall flat (killing a man with a serve), some totally deliver (Squibb flipping the double bird), and there are a couple lines that made me laugh out loud.

Here's the official 7 Days in Hell synopsis, and check out what Harington told Steve about filming the short here.

This 45-minute comedy special brings together Andy Samberg and Kit Harington for a star-studded look at big-time tennis. The outrageous sports documentary takes a look back at a pair of fictional players from the not-too-distant past -- Aaron Williams (Samberg) and Charles Poole (Harington) -- who played a match to end all tennis matches: a seven-day, five-set marathon that took everything, literally, out of the two.

In addition to highlights (and lowlights) from the match, '7 Days in Hell' looks back at the lives and careers of Williams, a hyper-malcontent, and Poole, a dim-witted prodigy who carried England's hopes for a tennis champion on his shoulders. Coloring the backstory of these faux-superstars are a parade of well-known guest stars including Michael Sheen, Mary Steenburgen, Karen Gillan, Will Forte, Fred Armisen, Lena Dunham, David Copperfield, June Squibb, John McEnroe, Chris Evert and Serena Williams, portraying Aaron's adoptive sister.
