UGO just landed what I believe is the first clip from Matthew Vaughn's upcoming (and apparently insane) comic-book movie, Kick-Ass.  The film was one of the breakout successes of this year's San Diego Comic-Con and after seeing this clip, I can see why.  The film is about superheroes who don't have special powers but that doesn't stop them from wanting to dress up and fight crime.  In the clip, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) is training his daughter Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) how to take a bullet.

The clip is about a father shooting his little girl in the chest.  Like I said: insane. But in a totally awesome way, since he isn't trying to kill her or hurt her.  Still, I can't think of another movie where a father bonds with his daughter by shooting her in the chest.  Obviously, you need to hit the jump to check out the clip.  You also need to check out the new poster which features Big Daddy in his crime-fighting costume.  It's the newest in the series following Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass and Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist.  Oh, and I've also included a brief synopsis on the film.  You're welcome.

Kick-Ass hits theaters on April 16, 2010.

For those just tuning in, here's the official synopsis:

“Kick-Ass” tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers.

His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Cage).
