A Quiet Place horror movie franchise is receiving its very first video game. The game is set to be developed by Montreal studio iLLOGIKA, known for co-developing games like Cuphead and SpongeBob Squarepants Krusty Cook-Off. EP1T0ME studio will also be involved in creating the project. Publisher of the game will be Saber Interactive, who is behind the World War Z and Evil Dead games. A Quiet Place will launch sometime in 2022.

There is not much known about the story at the moment, other than the official website stating that it will be a “terrifying new video game” and will give players the chance to “experience an untold story of survival in the A Quiet Place universe.” It’s obvious stealth will more than likely be a key role in successful gameplay, but we’ll have to wait and see what else is in store.

The A Quiet Place movie series by John Krasinski first debuted in 2018 and has since spawned a sequel, A Quiet Place II, with talks of a third film in the future. The movies follow survivors who must live life as quiet as possible in a world full of monsters that hunt based on sound alone.

Saber Interactive gave a statement describing the game as such:

This first official video game set in the terrifying A Quiet Place universe will deliver an original story and gameplay that captures the compelling suspense, emotion and drama for which the series is famous. The game is in development by iLLOGIKA, the Montreal-based studio with veteran talent from the Rainbow Six and Far Cry franchises, and published by Saber Interactive, the Embracer Group company behind the hit game World War Z and the upcoming Evil Dead: The Game.
