Today we’re happy to bring you an exclusive clip from the upcoming comedy, A.C.O.D.  The title stands for “Adult Children of Divorce” and the film centers on Carter (Adam Scott) who has been caught in his parents’ (Richard Jenkins and Catherine O’Hara) ugly divorce for the past twenty years.  Matters become even worse when he tries to get them in the same room so they can attend his brother’s wedding.  I really enjoyed the movie when I saw it at Sundance, and this clip is a good representation of the humor and shows off Scott and Jenkins’ great performances.

Hit the jump to check out the clip.  The film also stars Jane Lynch, Jessica Alba, Clark Duke, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Amy PoehlerA.C.O.D. opens October 4th.

Here's the official synopsis for A.C.O.D.

A.C.O.D. follows Carter (Adam Scott), a seemingly well-adjusted Adult Child of Divorce. Having survived the madness of his parents (Richard Jenkins and Catherine O’Hara) divorce, Carter now has a successful career and supportive girlfriend (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). But when his younger brother (Clark Duke) gets engaged, Carter is forced to reunite his bitterly divorced parents and their new spouses (Amy Poehler and Ken Howard) for the wedding, causing the chaos of his childhood to return including his wacky therapist (Jane Lynch).
