We've a few casting stories for you today.  First up Adam Scott is planning to reteam with Bachelorette director writer-director Leslye Headland for her upcoming comedy Sleeping with Other PeopleThe movie stars Jason Sudeikis as "a womanizer who befriends a serial cheater; ultimately, the two develop a romantic attraction to each other."  According to THR, Alison Brie is in talks to replace Kirsten Dunst, who had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict.  Headland notes that neither deal is done, and that "'It's not set in stone, kids.' I've seen shit fall apart over less."  As Harvey Weinstein's former assistant, she should know.  Hopefully, Scott and Brie will sign on; they're both immensely talented and are terrific on two of TV's best sitcoms, Parks and Recreation and Community, respectively.

Hit the jump for casting news on the fantasy feature The Moon and the Sun and the adaptation of the Irish novel, The Secret Scripture.

According to Variety, Benjamin Walker is set to lead the adaptation of the Vonda McIntyre fantasy novel, The Moon and the Sun.  Per Variety, "the story follows King Louis XIV, who is determined to protect the future of France by reigning for all eternity. His search for immortality leads him to capture and steal the life force from a mermaid, but soon his 18-year-old illegitimate daughter discovers the mystical creature and strikes up a friendship with her."  Because if anything protects a nation, it's one guy ruling for all eternity and stealing mermaid life force.

The film also stars Pierce Brosnan, Kaya Scodelario (The Truth about Emanuel), and Fan Bingbing (X-Men: Days of Future Past).  Focus Features plans to release the film in 2015.

Finally, the Independent reports that Jeremy Irons and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are set to join Jessica Chastain and Vanessa Redgrave in The Secret Scripture.  The novel follows two stories: one is about a 100-year-old patient in a mental hospital who writes her autobiography in secret, and the other is from a doctor in the hospital who must decide the future of the patients after the building is set for demolition.

It's currently unknown who Irons and Meyers will play.  Filming is expected to begin this June.
