The lovely and talented Adele has returned to grace us with her vocal gifts, both with her new video for “Hello” from the long-awaited 21 follow-up, 25, but also in a concert at Radio City Music Hall that will be broadcast on NBC in December. Adele Live in New York City will be recorded November 17th, but will hit the small screen December 14th in a one-hour special.

It’s an interesting move from a TV perspective. Musical performances can happen during awards shows, sure, or some kind of holiday hoorah, but rarely as their own special concert broadcast. But, such is the power of Adele! (And NBC trying just about anything that might grab some ratings. Live shows are one of the few things that are pretty consistent in bringing in good numbers these days).

In the week leading up to the performance (her first American concert since 2011), Adele will also be appearing on Saturday Night Live November 21st, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 23rd, and Today on November 25th, all of which will come after her new album becomes available November 20th.

You can read more about Adele’s video “Hello,” shot in IMAX by Xavier Dolan, here, and also check out that video below (as well as sign up for updates on the concert here).  Adele Live in New York City,  executive produced by Lorne Michaels, Adele and Jonathan Dickins, and directed by Beth McCarthy-Miller, will premiere Monday, December 14th at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
