Trailer for First-Person Found Footage Horror Thriller AFFLICTED

     March 4, 2014

CBS Films has released the first trailer for writers/directors Derek Lee and Clif Prowse’s found footage horror thriller Afflicted.  The film is a twist on the found footage genre and follows two best friends who set out on the trip of a lifetime around the world.  Early on in their journey, however, it suffers a dark and unexpected turn when an encounter with a mysterious woman leaves one of them afflicted.  The found footage aspect of the pic comes into play as the two set out to document their journey on video.  Some of their cameras are actually attached to their heads, allowing Lee and Prowse to display some of the horror and action from a first person perspective.  The pic went over quite well at last year’s Fantastic Fest by winning Best Picture, Director, and Screenplay in the horror category, and it looks to be some pretty riveting stuff.  I’m interested to see how this conceit progresses throughout the full feature.
