We’ve had that lengthy official synopsis for Marvel’s Agent Carter for well over a month now, but how about getting a better sense of what’s coming in episodes 1 and 2 specifically?  Marvel just unveiled the synopses for the first two episodes of the season titled “Now is Not the End” and “Bridge and Tunnel,” respectively.

Hit the jump to read both and to check out a brand new poster for the show as well.  Agent Carter is set to kick off on January 6, 2015 on ABC.  It stars Hayley Atwell, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, James D’Arcy and Shea Whigham.

Here’s the synopsis for “Now is Not the End” written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and directed by Louis D’Esposito:

Peggy is contacted by old acquaintance Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper, Marvel's "Captain America: The First Avenger") when he is framed for unleashing his deadliest weapons and can trust no one else. To help Peggy clear Stark's name, he insists his butler, Edwin Jarvis, be at her beck and call--whether she likes it or not. But the risk is great: If caught, Agent Carter could be targeted as a traitor and spend the rest of her days in prison...or worse.

And here’s the synopsis for “Bride and Tunnel” written by Eric Pearson and directed by Joseph Russo:

Howard Stark's deadliest weapon has fallen into enemy hands, and only Agent Carter can recover it. But can she do so before her undercover mission is discovered by SSR Chief Dooley and Agent Thompson?
