If you’re still watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (and judging by the negligible ratings change from the season one finale to the season two premiere, you’re in this for the long-haul), then you caught a preview of Marvel’s next TV series Agent Carter earlier this week during the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season two premiere. A flashback sequence during the episode featured a cameo from Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter as well as the Howling Commandos, as the group raided a Hydra outpost and obtained a MacGuffin object of sorts. I was not a fan of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but I’m curious to check out Agent Carter when it premieres due to its period setting and the involvement of screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. My hope is that Agent Carter doesn’t just feel like a S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff and is able to stand out as its own series. Given the heavy focus on interconnectedness with all things Marvel, though, I remain cautious in my optimism.
Regardless, if you didn’t watch S.H.I.E.L.D. season two premiere but want to see the Carter & Commandos scene, it has now landed online. Take a look after the jump. Agent Carter is expected to premiere on ABC sometime in January.
