You may recall that earlier this year, ABC was considering an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff starring Adrianne Paclicki’s Mockingbird (aka Bobbi Morse) and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter. However, when it came time for renewals and pickups, the network stuck with renewing S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, and passing on the Mockingbird series.

However, Variety reports that the network is still interested, and has ordered a pilot centering on the two characters. The show, titled "Marvel’s Most Wanted" (ugh), will put Morse and Hunter at the fore, and insiders are saying it’s an “entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story” rather than a spinoff, which makes no sense. It doesn’t matter what they do on their own show; they are being spun off from a pre-existing property.  That makes Marvel's Most Wanted (will John Walsh guest star?) a spinoff.

ABC is still deciding on how they want to move forward with how they’ll premiere the pilot, and they could possibly introduce it as a backdoor pilot during this upcoming season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It’s currently unknown how showrunners Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski (who both serve as producers on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) plan to transition Morse and Hunter from their current Marvel series to the spinoff. Jeph Loeb will also serve as an executive producer on the series.

It should be noted that this third Marvel series is in addition to the unknown one that Oscar-winner John Ridley (12 Years a Slave) is currently working on for the network.

So to fans who are currently caught up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (I’m only halfway through season two): Would you follow Morse and Hunter to a new series? Can these characters carry their own show? Would Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. feel their absence? Sound off in the comments section.
