Marvel's Inhumans opens November 2, 2018, and the long road to the upcoming film begins at Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  The show recently provided the major revelation that Skye (Chloe Bennett) is actually an Inhuman, a super-powered individual.  Since Marvel no longer owns the rights to the word "mutant" (they sold it to Fox when the studio bought X-Men), they'll be using inhumans as their way to bring superpowers into the MCU.

Briefly, the inhumans are an ancient race who was given superpowers by aliens, and the descendants of that race walk among us.  However, the Inhumans movie will likely revolve around the main characters from the eponymous comic: Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, Triton, and Lockjaw.

During last night's Oscars, ABC aired a new Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV spot that specifically used the word "inhuman", and so we should probably start preparing for it to become part of the MCU vernacular.

Check out the TV spot below.  Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Tuesday, March 3rd at 9/8c.
