In this episode, Agent May makes her return to S.H.I.E.L.D. Daisy, Hunter, and Mack follows a lead on Lash, and it leads them to the ATCU headquarter. Is Bobbi truly ready to go back into the field? Will Simmons eventually rescue Will?
As it turns out, Andrew is not dead after all much to the relief of the team, especially Agent May. She’s now back in the fold for good and out for blood. After testing Bobbi to see if she’s ready to be back in the field, they decide to track down Von Strucker in the hopes he leads them to Ward. When they finally get to him, he’s being tortured by Hydra and on his last breath. Before he dies, he confesses to what really happened to Andrew. He transformed into Lash! This is information that would have been helpful to Daisy who becomes convinced that Lash is Banks. She’s so convinced that Hunter goes as far as icing Banks and getting a blood sample in a uniquely Hunter way. This ends up leading Daisy and company to the secret ATCU headquarters and Daisy is horrified by what she sees -- Inhumans put into stasis against their will. Even more horrifying to her is that Coulson is there with Rosalind, seemingly ok with it all. He’s been with her all day having the kind of flirty back and forth that only covert ops can have. He’s finally starting to understand Rosalind but will he have objections to her methods?
In the recap episode, the crew discusses the fact Josh Macuga's prediction from two week’s ago was correct and Andrew is Lash. How will May deal with this knowledge? Will she help protect him or will they eventually come to blows? How aware is Andrew of his actions? The panelists breakdown the planet Ego and wonder if that could be where Simmons was.
