Fox has one of the season's best surprises in their line-up with the Golden Globe-winning comedy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine.  If you haven't been watching, the cop comedy series takes place in the title precinct and stars Andy Samberg as the slovenly and sarcastic Detective Jake Peralta.  Samberg is obviously a comedy veteran, but the strength of the show comes in its supporting cast, which features Terry Crews, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Stephanie Beatriz and Andre Braugher.  For the show's first season finale, Samberg's "The Lonely Island" partner Akiva Schaffer will come on board to direct.  Hit the jump for more.

As THR reports, Schaffer will step behind the camera for the Brooklyn Nine-Nine season finale.  Production on the finale is set to begin next week, with the final show of the season airing on March 25th.  Schaffer is following in fellow "The Lonely Island" member  Jorma Taccone's footsteps; he directed the show's recent Thanksgiving episode.  All's good on The Lonely Island, which signed a multi-year comedy development deal with Fox just this January.
