A couple of casting stories for you this evening. Following the news that Barry Sonnenfeld’s Men in Black III won’t be resuming production for another month due to script issues, Alice Eve has been cast in the flick. Deadline reports that she will play the young version of Emma Thompson’s character. The plot of the film involves Will Smith’s character traveling back in time to team up with a young version of Tommy Lee Jones’ character (played by Josh Brolin) to, obviously, save the world. The 3D film is slated for May 25^th, 2012.Just when you thought the cast of Garry Marshall’s New Year’s Eve, couldn’t get any bigger, two more names have been added to the mix. Carla Gugino stars as a doctor in the pseudo-sequel to last year's Valentine's Day, per THR, and Halle Berry is taking on an unspecified role. Berry was previously attached to the film, then dropped out, but now is back in again. The Wrap reports that she’s taking on a different role this time. The film features a cast that includes Robert De Niro, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel, Zac Efron, etc. It hits theaters on December 9^th.
