Though Laura Mulvey may object in principle, it’s fair to say that the Slasher genre is nothing without a share of attractive women who go through the paces and scream, and get in various states of undress. Horror films are noting without women being objectified and chased by bad men. Two of the highest billed in the new Friday the 13th movie are Amanda Righetti and Danielle Panabaker, which means there’s a good chance that one or both could make it to a sequel. That’s quite an accomplishment in and of itself.
Panabaker has been acting since she was fifteen, and is best known – to me – for playing the redhead in Sky High, while Righetti is currently on The Mentalist, and had a reoccurring character on The O.C.
