Sony has updated their Facebook page for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and provided a new image (or rather, a re-purposed image that we saw last week) along with a new logo, which is like the old logo but with a two.  No need to change that part of the marketing game.  Of all the surface elements we've seen so far, nothing makes me happier than the new costume.  The old was an understandably drastic break, but it just wasn't very attractive.  The new one is arguably an improvement over the great version from Sam Raimi's films, and it looks great on this cover photo.

Hit the jump to see a larger version of the image.  The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field.  The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in 3D on May 2, 2014.  The Comic-Con panel will be this Friday in Hall H.

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep.
