The Amazing Spider-Man 2 could be getting a little crowded.  It's rumored that the movie is being designed to set up the villainous group known as the Sinister Six.  The official villain in the upcoming sequel is Electro (Jamie Foxx) but the cast also includes Norman Osborne (a.k.a. the Green Goblin), Harry Osborne (the Green Goblin after his dad died), and Rhino (Paul Giamatti).  Furthermore, there was no room for Mary Jane, so she had to be cut from the film and pushed back to The Amazing Spider-Man 3.  However, there could be some space for killer robots.

On The Daily Bugle's Tumblr page [via Screen Crush] there's a report that Oscorp stock has climbed four points, and that's due in part because of "significant advancements in robotics by the head of the engineering division, Spencer Smythe".  For those who are unfamiliar with the comics, Smythe is the creator of the "spider-slayers", robots designed specifically to kill Spider-Man.

It's worth remembering that Colm Feore and B.J. Novak were cast in the movie, but we don't know who they're playing.  Perhaps one of them is Smythe, or Feore could be Spencer and Novak could be his son Alistair Smythe, who carried on his father's work.
