A24 has unveiled a new trailer for Fish Tank writer/director Andrea Arnold’s upcoming drama American Honey. The film debuted at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year where it won the Jury Prize and was nominated for the Palme d’Or, and it's about to embark on the Fall Film Festival circuit. Sasha Lane stars as an adolescent girl who runs away from a troubled home and joins up with a traveling sales crew who drive across the American Midwest. She finds a companion in a character played by Shia LaBeouf, who comes along for the adventure with gusto to spare.

This new trailer is backed by Bruce Springsteen’s “Dream Baby Dream” as the “American Dream” aspect of the film is highlighted more fully by excerpts from a review. There’s certainly a youthful energy that abounds both in this new trailer and the previous one, and the fact that Arnold shot the film all over the country, guerrilla style, brings a certain degree of authenticity to the proceedings.

Check out the new American Honey trailer below. The film also stars Riley Keough and will screen at the Toronto International Film Festival next month before hitting theaters later this year.

Here’s the official logline for American Honey:

Star (Sasha Lane), an adolescent girl from a troubled home, runs away with a traveling sales crew who drive across the American Midwest selling subscriptions door to door. Finding her feet in this gang of teenagers, one of whom is Jake (Shia LaBeouf), she soon gets into the group's lifestyle of hard-partying nights, law-bending days, and young love.
