In addition to Steve’s on-set interview with stars Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg, Lionsgate has provided us with a trio of new images and two trippy posters from the action-comedy American Ultra to share with our readers today. Written by Chronicle scribe Max Landis and directed by Nima Nourizadeh (Project X), the film revolves around a stoner (Eisenberg) and his girlfriend (Stewart) who find their lives disrupted when a government operation descends upon their small town with the aim of wiping the stoner out, who is in fact a sleeper agent.
The excellent first trailer and these new images certainly play up the fact that Eisenberg and Stewart’s characters get very bruised and bloodied over the course of the film, and indeed we saw in the trailer that the actors weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Additionally, the posters play up the film's stoner vibe.
