Sony Pictures Animation's The Angry Birds Movie 2 is about to introduce a new character into the crew of returning fan-favorites. Zeta, voiced by Leslie Jones, is front and center in a new trailer for the summer sequel, and like the rest of us, she's pretty tired of winter. So tired, in fact, that's she's packing it up and heading to warmer climes. The issue is that the tropical getaway just so happens to be where our familiar characters are currently residing, pigs and birds alike. One wonders if Zeta's ice-cold arrival might force the franchise antagonists to team up against the new frosty opponent...
Directed by Thurop Van Orman and co-director John Rice from a screenplay by Peter Ackerman, The Angry Birds Movie 2 stars Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Bill Hader, Rachel Bloom, Awkwafina, Sterling K. Brown, Eugenio Derbez, Danny McBride, Peter Dinklage, Zach Woods, Dove Cameron, Lil Rel Howery, Beck Bennett, Nicki Minaj, and Brooklynn Prince. Look for it in theaters on August 16th.
