This week is gonna be a big one for trailers. We’ve already seen looks at Fifty Shades Darker, Miss Sloane, and the Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me, and by week’s end we’ll have also seen previews for Disney’s Moana and Tom Ford’s early awards contender Nocturnal Animals. Smack dab in the middle of all this will be the announcement trailer for Annabelle 2, but before then, the director revealed a first look on social media.

David F. Sandberg revealed a behind-the-scenes image of himself setting up the creepy doll from The Conjuring on the set of the upcoming spin-off sequel, while revealing the first trailer will drop tomorrow. Sandberg was mostly known for directing short films, one of which was developed into the feature-length film Light’s Out, on which The Conjuring director James Wan served as a producer. Light’s Out 2 already got the green light, but Sandberg is also working on the Annabelle sequel.

The trailer announcement for the sequel arrives tomorrow. See the first look below:

The official plot description reads:

Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.

Now that we’ve all seen The Conjuring 2, could this nun have something to do with the same demonic entity that terrorized Hodgson family? “I’ve read the script, and I think this is gonna be one of those occasions where the sequel is actually better,” Sandberg told Collider at Comic-Con. “It’s gonna be like the Godfather 2 of creepy doll movies.”

According to an earlier press release, the cast will feature Stephanie Sigman (who appeared briefly in Spectre), Talitha Bateman (The 5th Wave), Lulu Wilson (Ouija 2), Philippa Anne Coulthard (After the Dark), Grace Fulton (Badland), Lou Lou Safran (The Choice), Samara Lee (The Last Witch Hunter), newcomer Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia (Without a Trace), and Miranda Otto (the Lord of the Rings trilogy).

Annabelle 2 will be released in theaters on May 19, 2017.
