Disney has released the first Ant-Man trailer for director Peyton Reed and Marvel Studios' upcoming superhero film.  Paul Rudd plays con-man Scott Lang, who must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), plan pull off a heist that has massive repercussions.  The teaser trailer is a bit surprising in that it's very...somber, and somewhat lacking in charm.  There are a couple of brief moments of levity, but it's definitely a shift in tone from the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy, and I'll admit I was expecting something a little lighter given Rudd and co-writer Adam McKay's involvement; though I imagine the film itself will have plenty of comedy.  Ant-Man does look to be the most personal Marvel film yet from a character standpoint, and it's refreshing not to see someone trying to save the entire world (yet), though given the film's tight schedule it's understandable that there aren't many effects shots here.  I can't say this debut teaser has me and more or less interested in the movie now, but I love Rudd and the idea of him joining the MCU is seriously great, so I'm definitely still curious.
