If you missed Apple's two-hour launch event this morning, congratulations on making smart choices in your life, the company probably somehow has your social security number anyway. You can read up on the whole thing here, but the highlight of the presentation came right at the very end in the shape of a sizzle reel showing off the impressive roster of names making content for the company's still-mysterious Apple TV+.
A bulk of the first-look footage comes from The Morning Show, the workplace drama starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carrell. There's also a very rainy glimpse at Steven Knight's See, led by Aquaman star Jason Momoa as a warrior living in a future where the human race has lost the ability to, uh, see.
The rest of the video is mostly brief shots of characters making Spielberg Face at the camera—appropriate, seeing as how Steven Spielberg himself is bringing Amazing Stories to the new platform—but here's what we spotted: Hailee Steinfeld in the period piece Dickinson. Joel Kinnaman as an astronaut in the sci-fi trip to space For All Mankind. Toby Kebbell giving mysterious looks in M. Night Shyamalan's thriller Servant. Two different shots from Truth Be Told, the true crime drama starring Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul. Finally, the briefest of shots from Mythic Quest, the half-hour comedy set in the video game industry created by It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia dup Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day.
Honestly, a lot of the footage doesn't tell you a thing about the shows themselves. But boy, are those production values lookin' high. Related: Still no word on how much Apple TV+ is going to cost you. Stay tuned on that front.
