Thanks to social networking, we now have the first image of Arnold Schwarzenegger in director David Ayer's new film, Ten.  Schwarzenegger tweeted the image earlier today, one that shows off a new look for the former Governor as he's sporting a new haircut and a variety of new tattoos.  He's also armed to the teeth and ready for battle in a police-issue bullet-proof vest, complete with knives, ammo and at least three guns.  Back when it was titled Breacher, Ayer said he wanted to "reinvent Arnold" during an interview with Steve.  You'll have to decide for yourself whether or not he succeeded.  Hit the jump to check out the first image and for more on Schwarzenegger's character. Here's the first look at Schwarzenegger in Ten:arnold-schwarzenegger-tenSchwarzenegger himself tweeted the first image (via Empire), saying:

I'm having a great time working with @DavidAyerMovies on my new movie, Ten. Check out my look: http://twitpic.com/b7c9jc

As noted on his vest, Schwarzenegger will play John "Breacher" Wharton, a hardened commander of an elite squad of DEA operatives who are about to raid a cartel's safe house.  However, the operation is a cover-up for their plan to steal millions of dollars in illegal assets which they will sell.  Though they think they've gotten away with it, internal pressure starts to build and someone begins picking the team members off one by one.  Ten also stars Sam Worthington, Joe Manganiello, Harold Perrineau, Josh Holloway, Terrence Howard, Olivia Williams, Mireille Enos, Dawn Olivieri and Malin Akerman.

Ten, which started filming recently and is continuing with production in Georgia, was loosely based on the Agatha Christie story, "Ten Little Indians," and was scripted by Skip Woods (The A-Team).  Look for Ten to debut some time next year.
