Team Arrow and Team Gotham are getting a casting upgrade with two familiar names (and faces) from DC Comics. While the former is getting an exciting new masked vigilante, the latter snagged a Once Upon a Time actress as an intrepid reporter with ties to someone from Batman’s future. Without further adieu, it’s time to meet the ladies.

First, Collider can confirm that Madison McLaughlin, who appeared as Evelyn Sharp, is returning for Arrow season 5 in the expanded role of Artemis.

The DC character played a large role in the animated series Young Justice, and was introduced as Green Arrow’s niece, though that was just a cover to hide her familial relationships from the team. (Her father in the show was Sportsmaster, her sister was Cheshire, and her mother was Huntress, all either current or former villains.) Artemis had a more nefarious turn in the comics as the daughter of Tigress and Sportsmaster who became a member of the Injustice Society.

Evelyn was last seen on Arrow season 4 during the episode “Canary Cry,” in which she impersonated Black Canary in order to exact revenge on Damien and Ruvé Darhk for killing her parents. She’ll return as Artemis beginning in episode two of the fifth season for multiple episodes as she attempts to form her own identity.

On the Gotham front, we also learned that Jamie Chung, who played Mulan in Once Upon a Time and voiced Marvel character Go Go in Disney’s Big Hero 6, will portray Valerie Vale. Earlier this month, it was reported that Vicki Vale, the ace reporter played by Kim Basinger in Tim Burton’s Batman, will make an appearance on the show. While we still don’t know who will play her, we now know Chung is a piece of the puzzle as Valerie is Vicki’s aunt. She’ll be seen as the newest addition of the Gotham Gazette who investigates Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) in an attempt to discover the truth behind the shady research facility Indian Hill.

Gotham will return on September 18 at 8 p.m. on Fox, while Arrow season 5 premieres October 5 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
