We knew that The CW star Stephen Amell had a fondness for dressing in tight green leather, slinging an arrow and quiver on his back, and occasionally sporting some unfortunate wigs. On an upcoming episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, however, he'll be trading in an arm for a goatee. While we previously learned of this guest appearance as an older Oliver Queen in the year 2046, we now have the first images of the Future Green Arrow. And he won't be the only vigilante archer on screen.

Amell shared some images from the DC's Legends of Tomorrow episode "Star City 2046" which will air Thursday, February 25th at 8pm on The CW. In those images, he sports the familiar Green Arrow costume, but appears to have a brace on his left arm (which is presumably a completely artificial limb) and a wintry mustache and goatee. It doesn't look as though he'll be sporting a bald head however. Also included in these images is a second Green Arrow, a fellow by the name of Connor Hawke.

Here's what producer Marc Guggenheim had to say about the appearance:

arrow-future

“We’re not only introducing our version of Connor Hawke to our universe, we’re going to meet the 2046 version of Oliver Queen, and Stephen Amell is going to be reprising his role from Arrow. As an added bonus to comic-book fans, Oliver is missing his left arm and will be sporting a goatee, in a nod to the character’s appearance in the seminal Dark Knight Returns. We think this episode features some of the coolest things we’ve ever done.”
