Last night’s installment of the CW series Arrow ended on a humdinger of a cliffhanger, so no doubt fans are eager to see what happens next. With only five episodes left in the season, the network has released a new Arrow trailer that offers a preview of what’s to come for Stephen Amell’s hooded superhero.

The season comes to a close as The CW has firmly positioned itself as the “superhero TV show network”, among other things. The ratings for CW shows don’t rival The Walking Dead or anything, but the series maintain a consistent and loyal fanbase the keeps coming back for years on end—this explains why Supernatural is still on the air 10 seasons later.

This year The CW took a gamble on the Arrow spinoff series The Flash and it paid off, so now they’re expanding their little DC Universe with yet another spinoff series that will feature a team-up of superhero characters that have appeared on both Arrow and The Flash. That show is expected to debut next year.
