Tonight on the Collider Arrow Recap show, we have our own crossover in the second part of the crossover event. We also have the version of ‘Don’t Call it a Comeback’ as John Campea makes his way onto an Arrow recap show.
In this episode the team makes their way to Central City chasing the likes of the immortal Vandal Savage. It’s apparent that Barry and Oliver are no longer playing the big brother little brother roles, but act more like peers and need it to take down Vandal Savage who appears to be unbeatable now that he holds the Staff of Horus.
While trying to figure out a way to beat Vandal Savage, Oliver tracks down a suspicious character he sees at Jitters, which, spoiler alert, turns out to be his son who is being raised by Samantha who was paid off by Moira, is this a Telenovella or Arrow?
The team holes up at a farm outside of Central City so they’re off the grid and away from Vandal Savage while Kendra learns how to harness her powers that she just found in her 206th incarnation. This proves to be difficult for Carter, aka her 4000 year old lover, to do but leave it to Cisco Ramon to show her just how to use what may be foreign, but totally necessary.
In their first attempt to take down Vandal Savage, Oliver is distracted after his spat with Felicity that he lets Vandal Savage melt the entire world. Barry however outruns the blast and goes back in time to give the team another chance. This time the entire group is able to bring down Vandal Savage and leave him as literal dust. The only problem with the dust is that Team “Flarrow” didn’t sweep the dust and destroy, which leaves Malcom Merlyn and his band of black masked assassins to get their hands on Savage’s dusty remains. What will he do with the ashes of the immortal? We shall see.
For the time being, team Arrow and team Flash have succeeded again. These two dynamic entities have proven to be worthy teammates. We can all hopefully look forward to more crossovers and stories that involve the two teams working together.
The Arrow Video Recap Show is hosted by Ann Campea, Jason Inman, Michael Medina and Josh Macuga with special thanks to Kaori Takee and John Campea on the Collider Video network.
