About Isabella Soares

Isabella Soares is a Senior Resource Writer and Peer Mentor for Collider and a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic. As a film and TV enthusiast from an early age, she used to write reviews on her journal as a teenager, which later influenced her career path.

When not writing articles for the website, Isabella is studying journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University with a focus on entertainment. She also enjoys watching musicals at local theaters, attending ballet performances, and going to concerts.

Born and raised in Brazil, Isabella is currently based in Canada.

Industry Experience

Aside from Collider, Isabella has been a reporter and writer for multiple outlets including Foreign Press USA, CanCulture, the Winnipeg Free Press, The Uniter, and SheDoesTheCity.com. She has also interviewed a couple film and TV talents, including SNL alum Michaela Watkins, 'Frasier' reboot star Jess Salgueiro, and 'It's A Wonderful Knife' screenwriter and producer Michael Kennedy.

Favorite Media

Passionate about teen dramas, such as 'One Tree Hill' and 'Glee', Isabella is often giving in-depth looks into these beloved shows through her Collider contributions. She is also drawn to titles with mindblowing plot twists like 'The Sixth Sense', as well as feel-goods like 'Sing Street'
