I don’t know how we could make the modern superhero movie without advanced CGI effects. There’s no way Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man could have been even moderately believable without CG, and superhero movies have been topping it ever since.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is the latest VFX extravaganza, and three reels have landed online to show the amount of depth and detail that went into designing both major and minor moments of the film. We all know that Ultron’s robots are CGI, but you’d be surprised at just how much of the film has been touched up. There’s also a great video about the UI interfaces and another one about how they advanced the Hulk to the point where Mark Ruffalo could see the character in real-time. It’s a testament to the quality of the effects that they weren’t even a major part of the conversation when talking about the film. They fit in so seamlessly.

Check out the Avenger: Age of Ultron VFX reels below. The movie is currently in theaters and making lots of money.

We've been asked by the studio to take down the videos..sorry if you missed them
