Following yesterday's atrocious final poster, the first Avengers: Age of Ultron character poster has gone online, and no surprise, it's Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).  Yesterday's poster put Chris Evans slightly more front-and-center, but Downey will always be the face of the franchise until he permanently hangs up the armor.  It also doesn't hurt that if you're going to tweet out the poster, you should start with the guy who has 3.6 million followers as opposed to 1.8 million followers.

In his tweet, Downey also teased a "big announcement in 8 days," so I assume we're going to get one new character poster per day for the next eight days, and then there will be a new trailer.  I will further predict that this trailer will give away too much of the plot, but it doesn't matter because people are hungry to see this movie as soon as possible.

Check out a larger version of the poster below.  Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in 3D on May 1st, and also stars Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Spader, Stellan Skarsgard, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, Idris Elba, and Don Cheadle.
