New AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Featurette Highlights Behind-the-Scenes Cast Hijinks

It's probably safe to just assume that every scene in the Marvel sequel began or ended with someone having the giggles.

While the cast for The Avengers was certainly impressive by virtue of simply bringing together a slew of actors who had already been the leads in their own movies, there was a great deal of time spent without the Avengers as a group. That was a necessity of the story, since the point of The Avengers was to show how, you know, The Avengers is created. But for the sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron, the team is already formed, everyone’s pals, and there’s even an Avengers dance party at Tony Stark’s penthouse.

The latest Avengers: Age of Ultron featurette doesn’t focus on the stunts or tease new characters. Instead, it simply shows the joys of having Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and Chris Hemsworth all together in one movie. Indeed, writer/director Joss Whedon explains that having more scenes where all of the Avengers are in the same room is great…most of the time.

As you can see in the video, there’s a fair amount of clowning around that occurs whenever the core group is together, and I imagine it’s going to make for one hell of a gag reel now that everyone’s familiar having worked together on The Avengers. I mean Age of Ultron looks cool, but I’d honestly watch an entire movie made up of outtakes from this fun-filled set.
