Watch: ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Cast Says Absolutely Nothing About the Movie on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

     April 9, 2019

Some cast members from Avengers: Endgame went on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and said absolutely nothing of note about the highly anticipated Marvel movie. While most Marvel Studios movies are kept under wraps until their premiere, Endgame is an extreme scenario in which the cast, filmmakers, etc. are barred from saying absolutely anything of substance about the film—the directors even declined to describe the movie’s tone. Which is fine (I’d much rather know as little as possible going into this one), but it also makes the pre-premiere press tour extremely tough.

Luckily the cast has a familiarity with Jimmy Kimmel Live—the ABC/Disney synergy has been strong in years past as it’s where the cast has come to debut trailers, clips, etc. ahead of big films like Captain America: Civil War. That translates into a free-wheeling conversation, and last night Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, and Paul Rudd took the couch to talk about the matching Avengers tattoos that almost everyone in the cast got (Mark Ruffalo declined), how they haven’t even seen the movie yet, and their favorite lines from previous MCU films. The latter gives Johansson the opportunity to revisit a particularly terrible line from the much-maligned Iron Man 2.

So while absolutely nothing noteworthy about the actual movie is discussed here (Johansson can’t even confirm the Black Widow movie), it’s still fun to see the cast having fun amongst themselves, possibly for one of the last times.
