In a new side-by-side trailer for Avengers: Endgame, IMAX is showing off exactly how much more bang you get for your buck -- essentially, 26% more of the movie. As a press release notes, Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo "shot the film with IMAX cameras and with IMAX aspect ratio so the pristine images will fill the entire screen – from start to finish." They basically formatted the movie for IMAX, so if fans want to see it as was intended, get thee to an IMAX theater.

Of course, depending on where you live, that can come with its own challenges. In Atlanta, for instance, the only true IMAX theater is at the Mall of Georgia (over an hour outside the city). While other more local theaters technically have IMAX screens, they aren't as gigantic as the one at Mall of Georgia, where you feel like you are actually inside the movie.

But if you are able to experience these massive blockbuster movies in IMAX, it's certainly a memorable experience. And, for that extra cost of an IMAX ticket, you will literally be seeing more of the movie's visual world. Check out the comparison trailer below; Avengers: Endgame will hit IMAX theaters on April 26th.

More about IMAX Cameras:

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo utilized the ALEXA IMAX 65mm camera to film AVENGERS: ENDGAME. It is a next-generation revolutionary 2D digital camera developed through a partnership between ARRI and IMAX for use by today's leading filmmakers working in the IMAX® format. The camera, when combined with IMAX’s digital re-mastering process, delivers the highest level of digital image capture and playback resulting in stunning lifelike images with pristine clarity, incredibly fine detail, vivid colors and a higher dynamic range for superior contrast. This camera is no stranger to the world of superheroes as it was first used by the Russo Brothers to shoot the airport battle sequence of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, and again for AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (in its entirety).
