They say good things come in threes, and judging by how hilarious the newest installment of the Barbershop franchise is, that assessment is pretty spot on.

The new film, Barbershop: The Next Cut is directed by Malcolm D. Lee (the Best Man series) and features an all-star cast that includes Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Common, Anthony Anderson, J.B. Smoove, Regina Hall, Eve, Nicki Minaj, Lamorne Morris, and many, many more.

To celebrate the movie’s release, Complex and Warner Bros. Pictures, MGM and New Line Cinema recently teamed up for a premiere event featuring some delicious—and free—BBQ, as well as a screening of the film. Guests were welcomed at The Well Store and Salon in Downtown LA for some complimentary BBQ provided by Trap Kitchen and the musical spinnings of DJ Taja and Metro Boomin. As an added bonus, attendees were also treated to a performance by the marching band from nearby USC, before Ice Cube himself took to the stage to address the pumped-up crowd.

Once everybody had their fill of food, music, and dancing, it was time to head up the road to Regal Cinemas’ LA Live and get the first look at the hysterical Barbershop: The Next Cut. With several hundred people in attendance, the night was a great way to welcome the newest chapter in a truly beloved franchise.
