Batman’s “No-Killing” Policy Gets Dubious in New BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT Trailer

     December 1, 2014

Last week, we got a new Batman: Arkham Knight trailer showing off the Batmobile, and the Dark Knight’s wheels are also the focus of the latest trailer.  The story takes place one year after the events of Batman: Arkham City and finds the titular superhero squaring off against Scarecrow, who has united Batman’s enemies in a plot to finally kill The Bat.  To make matters more complicated, the mysterious “Arkham Knight” is in the mix.  As you know, Batman doesn’t kill bad guys, and developer Rocksteady even made a point of this in their games by showing how Batman only incapacitates his enemies.  But this new trailer shows off the Batmobile’s minigun and cannon blowing other vehicles to hell, so unless those tanks are remote-controlled or have robots in the driver’s seat, the Caped Crusader may have come to terms with making his enemies die in an explosion.

Hit the jump to check out the new Batman: Arkham Knight trailer.  The game hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 2, 2015.

Here’s the official synopsis for Batman: Arkham Knight:

In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.
