Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released two new Batman: Arkham Knight trailers to promote the game’s DLC that you can get if you pre-order. Of course, pre-ordering is a bizarre practice, but the video game business is completely twisted already (it still blows my mind that employee bonuses are dependent on Metacritic scores), so it’s not going to end anytime soon.

Of course, this DLC will eventually be sold separately, but if you want to get in on the DLC story missions for Harley Quinn and Red Hood when the game is released, you’ll need to pre-order (for the latter, you’ll have to pre-order from Gamestop).

I don’t know how good these missions will be, and I’m starting to become a little dubious on how good Arkham Knight will be in general. Arkham Asylum is one of the best games I’ve ever played, and while the sexism in Arkham City is gross the gameplay is still fun. But I’m not sure how Arkham Knight has advanced things beyond the Batmobile, which is what they’re pushing hard when it comes to the marketing. Additionally, this preview piece from Engadget was particularly disheartening.

And yet I’m debating if this will be the game to push me towards buying a next-gen console. Thankfully, I still have time to decide since it won’t be released until June 23rd (it will also be available on PC in addition to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One).

Here’s the official synopsis:

Batman: Arkham Knight is based on DC Comics’ core Batman license and will be available on June 23, 2015 exclusively for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC.

Batman: Arkham Knight brings the award-winning Batman: Arkham trilogy from Rocksteady Studios to its epic conclusion. Developed exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PCs, Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile. The highly anticipated addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman: Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City. In this explosive finale, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city that he is sworn to protect, as Scarecrow returns to unite the super criminals of Gotham and destroy the Batman forever.
